Genius Ways to Promote Your Business Around the Holidays

It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year… Let’s Make it Wonderful for Your Business Too.

On this episode of The BrandWell Podcast, we cover several ways you can promote your business during the holiday season. From Thanksgiving to New Years, you have a unique opportunity to expand your audience, increase your sales, and to create a more loyal community of supporters for your business.

Promoting Your Business over Thanksgiving and Black Friday

Thanksgiving is a holiday that often gets overlooked by business owners when it comes to creating holiday-specific content and promotions. So how can you promote your business over thanksgiving? Here are a few things to try this year:

-Write a blog post about what you’re thankful for
- Host a giveaway as a way of saying “Thank You” to all of your followers and supporters
- Find a few other people in your industry to host a combined giveaway (not only will this allow you to support others in your industry by sharing their content with your audience, it will also allow you to expand your reach by getting in front of their audiences as well!)
- Share recipes or home decor ideas to help people prepare for the upcoming holiday!

The Biggest Sale Day of the Year

Now that you’ve successfully promoted your business over the Thanksgiving holiday, it’s time to turn your attention to the very next calendar day- Black Friday! There are so many ways you can increase your sales on this day by discounting your products or service for people who are primed and ready to make some purchases.

The best piece of advice I can give you though - DON’T WAIT UNTIL BLACK FRIDAY TO ANNOUNCE YOUR SALE!

Be sure to let your email list and social media followers know in advance what they can expect from you on Black Friday. Encourage them to set reminders on their phone so that they remember to snag your deals when thousands of other businesses will be vying for their attention on the holiday.

Creating Relevant Content Throughout the Month of December

If you promote your business well over Thanksgiving in Black Friday, you should have gained some new followers and subscribers that you can now share all of your holiday promotions with!

Remember this- social media and the internet crave relevant content so don’t shy away from creating themed blog and social media posts around the holidays!

I highly recommend utilizing the new Instagram Reels feature and playing Christmas music in the background of your videos. All the sudden, your video about essential oils just became relevant to the holidays because you put it to “We Wish You A Merry Christmas”!

You can also host The 12 Days of Christmas with your audience and share a new promotion each day. Be sure to create a custom hashtag for this (#brandwell12daysofchristmas) so that followers can catch up on any of the offers they missed.
